Brainerd ISD 181 School Board Election

The upcoming Brainerd School Board election is happening Tuesday November 3rd. I’d be honored to get your vote for School Board. But first, you may want to know a little more about me. This website is designed to do just that.

I grew up just down the tracks in Staples, the youngest of 5 siblings. I have always lead an active lifestyle and am honored to be in the Staples-Motley HS Athletic Hall of Fame. After graduating High School in 1989, I attended the University of Minnesota, earned a BA degree and entered the workforce in Customer Service. In 1995, I married my wife, Amy (Schmitz), a Brainerd High School graduate and local physician. Together, we have three children who graduated from Brainerd High School.  Our family has called Brainerd home since 2008 where we have chosen to build careers, raise our family, and invest in the community we love.
