School Environment
School is about our kids, so we must provide the best learning environment. Students should learn personal responsibility. Because teachers create this atmosphere daily, they need full administrative support and resources to maintain high classroom standards, manage distractions, and deliver needed care to students with special needs. To foster an effective learning atmosphere, it is essential that every student feels safe, respected, and empowered to focus on academic success. Providing teachers with targeted classroom management tools and reducing non-instructional administrative burdens will ensure they can focus on high-quality instruction and individualized support. Furthermore, expanding access to specialized resources and professional development for staff will guarantee that students with diverse learning needs receive the comprehensive care and tailored instruction necessary to excel.
Fiscal Responsibility
Drawing from my background as a small business owner, I appreciate that financial management requires ongoing oversight and flexibility. I look forward to reviewing our district's expenditures in detail to ensure resources are managed efficiently and transparently before asking our community to take on additional taxpayer obligations. Responsible stewardship requires continuous analysis of education costs alongside advanced forecasting tools to ensure every dollar directly supports classroom achievement. By prioritizing open communication and complete transparency with the public, we can demonstrate the clear return on investment that strong schools deliver to our community while remaining deeply committed to operating within a balanced budget year over year.
MSHSL Gender Ruling
As a former HS athlete, I deeply value student athletics. MSHSL membership impacts 31 sports teams and roughly 895 of our 1,500 students in the 2025–26 school year. These driven athletes work hard, collaborate, and deserve a safe, fair, and respectful environment. Allowing male athletes in female sports undermines this. We must protect female athletes and advocate for MSHSL policy changes. Athletic participation instills lifelong virtues of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. Preserving biology-based eligibility standards is critical to maintaining a level playing field, safeguarding hard-earned competitive opportunities, and ensuring that female student-athletes can compete safely and equitably.
